Description
Withycombe was built in 1903 in the Cape Dutch Style for Captain Payne. The farm consisted of 11 acres on which fruit was grown and exported till the mid-seventies when the then owner split the land into about 20 residential properties, leaving one acre surrounding the original house complete with trees and the gates that were imported from the UK.
Dick and Toni Meerburg welcome visitors to Withycome, conveniently situated in the Constantia Valley for the businessman and tourist alike.
There is ample safe, off road parking and the building is on one level, with just a few steps at the front and no steps at the back of the house.
Facilities include a large guest lounge which opens onto the pool patio,an informal bar and outside entertainment area, where visitors can enjoy making a traditional South African "braai" (BBQ) or settle for a quiet sundowner.
For the businessman, the library offers working space and facilities to fax and collect e-mail.
All bedrooms have a television, tea/coffee making facilities, radio alarm, hair dryer, fridge and separate entrance. Each room can be individually alarmed.

Directions
Follow the M3 connecting City Centre to Muizenberg. Proceed in the direction of Muizenberg and take the Constantia or Kendal Road off ramps. At the Constantia Village Shopping Centre that is flanked by Constantia Main Road (M41) and Spaanschemat Road (M42), you will find the traffic light opposite the shopping centre which is Doordrift Road. Turn left into Doordrift and from that traffic light, about 50meters down, take the first road right, being Schilpadvlei Road. 500 meters down, on the right, you will find the Withycombe gates
