Description
Waterberg Cottages has 4 cottages namely:Windsong, Bushwillow, Butterfly and Kudu Lodge, each sleeps different sixed groups as well as having their own fully equipped kitchens, most have indoor fireplaces in the lounge area, dining area and a braai and fireplace area outside.
Butterfly Cottage is a small cozy little cottage that can sleep up to 4 people and is ideal for couples or young families. This is the only cottage that does not have an indoor fireplace.
Bushwillow Cottage is our newest, beautiful, double storey cottage that can sleep up to 7 people. This cottage has amazing views from the upstairs room.
Windsong Cottage is the oldest cottage that was originally a farmhouse and has been renovated to allow for guests. This cottage has 4 rooms, 2 of which are en suite and the other 2 rooms have separate bathroom facilities that are about 5m away from the room.
Kudu Lodge is situated about 8km away from the main cottages and as it does not have access to the same facilities as the other cottages, it has a dam and canoes to enjoy and they make up for all that is lost at the other cottages.

Attractions
Waterberg Cottages is a family run and family oriented business. Here we ensure that the parents are able to relax while the children burn off all excess energy in our safe environment. The children can enjoy our Jungle gym, trampoline, sandpit which can be found at every cottage with toys to entertain the little people. For the older children we have a Volleyball court, tennis court, walking trails to explore as well as many roads to venture on their bicycles, the only challenge will be our soft sand.
We also offer cultural tours with the ladies who have lived on the farm for many years. Learn how different cultures live, eat and if you lucky you can learn a traditional dance or two.
On the neighbouring Farm we have horse riding at the World famous Horizon Horse back Safari’s, which cater for all riding abilities.

Directions to Waterberg Cottages
From the airport:
Take the signs to the R21 Pretoria. After about 35km you will intersect the N1. Make sure you do turn off onto the N1 at this point, or else you will sail on into the middle of Pretoria. Take the N1 north (signed Petersburg or Polokwane). Follow this for about 110km until the Kranskop toll gate (the third you come to). At this toll gate turn off the N1 onto the R33. Take the R33 towards Nylstroom (Modimolle). This is a 10km stretch. Go straight through Modimolle and continue on for 64km until you get to Vaalwater. At Vaalwater you will come to a 4-way stop (please phone us from here). Turn right (signed Melkrivier). This is a tar road. Continue on this road for about 24.5km, then turn right, signed to Sterkstroom. This is now a gravel road. Continue on this road for about 3km until you see a triangular “beware of cattle” sign on your left. On your right just after this is a yellow sign saying “Charles Baber”, with a picture of a bull on it and a sign saying Waterberg Cottages. Turn right here onto the farm road. The road runs straight for about 3km. At this point you will see a game fence and gate in front of you. Don’t go through this game gate, instead follow the road you are on as is bends to the left. It splits into two, keep to the right hand road. You basically now follow this road until you come to the cottages. It takes a 90 degree right hand turn after about 500m, then is straight for another 500m. The road then forks. Don’t turn left here, instead bear right over a cattle grid and into the game fenced area. Follow the road, you will cross another cattle grid and arrive at Waterberg Cottages, near the tennis court. Turn left around the tennis court and follow the signs to reception.
