Description
Enjoy peace and tranquillity while listening to the breaking waves in the background. Situated on the beachfront at Kini Bay, a small village setting in Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, is Sea Otters Lodge & Conference Centre with 6 ( six ) luxury double en suite bedrooms, 2 ( two ) open plan dinning rooms & lounges and a conference / function room, all with sea views.
Enjoy a refreshing drink at our fully licensed bar while watching the whales play, the dolphins surfing the waves and perhaps you are lucky enough to see the sea otter family swimming in the gully and playing on the beach. Enjoy the sound of birds as the finches build their nests while the bee-catcher chases after a bee.

1st Pay = 1st Serve
As we receive various booking requests for the same period of stay, we work on a first pay first serve basis. First guest that pay for their accommodation booking is first serve to the room(s) and we are not obliged to confirmation of any other booking for the same room(s) for the same period of stay
NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT = SECURES BOOKING
Minimum 50 % non refundable deposit payment secures your booking unless otherwise noted
Should your stay be for 1 night only 100 % non refundable deposit payment secures your accommodation booking
Should your booking be 15 days or less before the date of initial arrival the full accommodation booking value(100 %) is payable as a non refundable deposit payment to secure the booking

CHILD POLICY
Children U/12 staying in their own room pay 80 % of the adult rate applicable to the room
1 x Adult + 1 x Child U/12 sharing = Full rate applicable to the room
1 x Child U/12 sharing with 2 x adults will pay 60 % of the adult sharing rate per night excluding breakfast - a single sleeper couch will be made available in the room for the child to sleep on
We regret that not more than 1 x Child U/12 are allowed to share with 2 x adults
Children U/2 stay for free (Sharing a room with adults - a sleeping cot will be made available)
DOUBLE BOOKING
Should a double booking occur for the same room type, Sea Otters Lodge reserve the right at their sole discretion to accommodate the 2nd guest to arrive in another room type @ Sea Otters Lodge at no extra cost to the guest
SLEEPER BEDS / COUCHES
Single sleeper couches (if applicable) are recommended for children U/12 only
BREAKFAST
All rates are for the room only and excludes breakfast unless otherwise noted
Optional extra breakfast to be arrange and confirmed on arrival
Choice of the following breakfast Standard / Halaal / Vegetarian
SMOKING
We regret that no smoking is allowed inside the Guest House and/or bedrooms, should a guest not abide by this term the guest will be liable to a fee of R 750 for additional cleaning and freshening
Smoking allowed outside and on balconies
GENERAL
We regret that not more tan 2 x adults will be allowed to share a room unless prior written agreement has been made and agreed upon

ARRIVAL
Arrival / Check in from 2 pm - 8 pm
Prior arrangement to be made at least 2 days in advance for a late arrival and agreed upon in writing, the guest will be liable to a late arrival fee for arrivals / check in after 8:30 pm
Should a guest not check-in before 8:30 pm and prior arrangement has not been made for a late arrival and agreed upon the booking will be considered as a no-show and cancelled
LATE ARRIVAL FEES
For an arrival 8:31 pm - 9:59 pm the guest will be liable to a late check in fee of R 250
For an arrival 10 pm - 10:59 pm the guest will be liable to a late check in fee of R 400
For an arrival 11 pm - 11:59 pm the guest will be liable to a late check in fee of R 500
Guest will not be able to check in after 12 am
DEPARTURE
Departure before 10:30 am
Prior arrangement to be made at least 1 day in advance for a late departure and agreed upon in writing - Late departures if agreed upon are subject to the room being vacated by 11 am - thereafter guest are welcome to make use of the lounge areas and patio
The guest will be liable to a late room departure fee for a room departure after 11 am
LATE ROOM DEPARTURE FEES
For a departure 11:01 am - 11:45 am the guest will be liable to a late departure fee of R 250 per room
For a departure 11:46 am - 12:15 pm the guest will be liable to a late departure fee of R 400 per room
For a departure 12:16 pm - 12:45 pm the guest will be liable to a late departure fee of R 500 per room
MINIMUM STAY
Minimum stay = 1 night
Minimum stay during long weekends = 2 consecutive nights
Minimum stay from 15 December - 10 January = 3 consecutive nights
Should a guest like to stay shorter than the above minimum stay period required the guest will be charged for the minimum stay required

Breakfast is an optional extra service unless otherwise noted
Breakfast to be arranged and confirmed on arrival
We cater Standard, Halaal and Vegetarian
DINNER
Dinner is an optional extra service unless otherwise noted
Due to the fact that we buy and prepare everything from fresh from our preferred suppliers - Prior arrangement to be made at least 1 day in advance before 4 pm should dinner be required the following night
Dinners available Mondays - Thursdays
No dinners available Fridays - Sundays & Public Holidays unless otherwise noted
CANCELLATION POLICY
To avoid any misunderstanding ~ a booking constitutes a binding contract. All guests confirming a booking are advised to take out insurance to cover the full cost of their accommodation booking in the event of a cancellation. We will seek compensation for any cancelled accommodation, including premature curtailment
Only signed and written cancellations will be accepted
Should you cancel the booking or you do not arrive or you do not complete your stay, the following cancellation policy will be instituted
Cancellation 16 days + prior to date of arrival ~ guest forfeits 100% of deposit
Cancellation 0 – 15 days prior to date of arrival or a no-show ~ guest forfeits 100 % deposit & guest is liable for balance of the original accommodation booking amount due
Not completing stay of reservation
In the event of a premature departure the guest will be liable for the full stay of the original booking made
Whilst every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of all information, Sea Otters Lodge does not accept liability for any errors or omissions and reserves the right to change information and descriptions of products in the Property

See a city of lights on the sea as the chokka boats find their rest for a good nights catch. Enjoy reading a book or playing games in one of our two lounges. Take a nice stroll along the beach while gathering some pebbles, try some fishing from the rocks, play a game of golf on one of the nearby golf courses or take a game drive in one of the game parks / farms in our area.

TRAVELLING ON THE N2 FROM GRAHAMSTOWN TOWARDS PORT ELIZABETH
Take the M4 Settlers Way turn off to the left Keep straight on the M4 towards the airport Keep straight over the traffic lights. You are now on the M9 in Walmer Boulevard Road Walmer Boulevard becomes Heugh Road Heugh Road becomes, Buffelsfontein Road, Buffelsfontein Road becomes Seaview Road.
Take the Kini Bay Village turn off to the left into Kini Bay Sweep ( +/- 13 km on the Seaview Road ). Where the road makes a fork turn left into Kini Bay Sweep.
At the T - junction turn left into Seaway Drive Sea Otters Lodge is the 5th house on your right ( No 15 Seaway Drive - about 500m from Kini Bay turn off ) Sea Otters Lodge is an A - frame house with a lot of Northfolk Pine trees. If you go pass the guesthouse you will get to an open public parking area on your right - you have gone to far>
