Attractions
Clarens is surrounded by numerous art galleries, coffee shops and restaurants. There are numerous activities, including dinosaur trails, bushman paintings, horse riding, abseilling, river rafting, trout fishing, 4X4 trails, hikes and walks on the grass covered sandstone mountains.
Golden Gate National Park is located in the near vicinity of Clarens and the park is home to many antelope and zebra as well as many birds, including vultures....definitely worth a visit!
There are also numerous historical sites in the near vicinity of Fouriesburg and the annual Cherry Festival in Ficksburg which brings many guests to Clarens.

Directions
Approx 4hrs from Durban and 2.5km from Bloemfontein.
From Jhb: Take N3 Heidelberg/Durban. Take Frankfort/Villiers offramp just after Engen One Stop. Turn right and continue on R26 past Villiers towards Frankfort. At T-Junction, turn right. Continue over Wilge River and shortly thereafter, take slip road to the left (towards Reitz). Continue straight until Bethlehem. Go through Bethlehem and about 5km after Bethlehem (on the road to Harrismith), turn left (R712) towards Clarens.
