Description
Mtonjaneni Lodge is set amongst the Majestic hills next to Dingaan’s Spring, overlooking the tranquil “ Valley of the Kings” in Zululand. The Lodge is owned by Nico and Rina Harris. It is within easy access from the R34 , a major route between Johannesburg and Durban via Melmoth.
Driving to Mtonjaneni over the passes, one is left in awe as you view the beauty and magnificence of creation, this tranquil and rustic lodge hidden under a thatch roof welcomes tourists, business people and locals for either an experience of the historical culture that prevails, a weekend getaway or just a night away on business, Mtonjaneni Lodge has it all.
The view from the verandah overlooking the vast valleys, is breathtaking and leaves you with a feeling of belonging.
The open fireplace literally draws one to share its warmth & the feeling is further enhanced by the congenial atmosphere around the beautiful bar, displaying mounted wildlife trophies and an abundance of wood furnishings.
Homemade breakfast, lunch & dinners are served in a cozy, well positioned dining area. A restaurant & bar menu is available for guests and day visitors. A superb venue for private and conference functions.
The log cabins well positioned and comfortably furnished are an attraction of their own. They support 2 identical units per log cabin(14 units, 28 beds) with their own tea, coffee and bathroom facilities. Each bedroom has a television.
Ideal venue for break-away weekends. Guided 4X4 and off-road motorbike rides and breakfast runs. Visit our interesting Craft Shop and enjoy our cozy Coffee shop
