Description
Birdsong is a delightful self catering cottage for couples, friends and families in the picturesque farming area of Overberg. Newly renovated, Birdsong offers a tranquil country getaway for nature lovers who enjoy their creature comforts.
Fully furnished, there are 2 bedrooms in the main house, one queen size with en-suite shower & toilet and one twin bedded with next door bath, separate shower & toilet. An open plan kitchen/dining area leading to cosy lounge with log burning fireplace is fully equipped with dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, microwave, electric under counter oven and hob, toaster, crockery, cutlery and glasses for 6 people.
An outside, covered deck makes relaxing easy in summer and on fine winter days – a balcony with gate ensures your little ones are contained!
A few steps away from the main cottage is a bedroom with en-suite shower & toilet, one double bed, one single and a pull out single – ideal for teenaged children or a family.
A large saltwater pool completes the picture – it is unfenced so care must be taken with small children.
Two camp cots are available on request. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement.
Birdsong is a non smoking establishment – you are welcome to smoke outside – please take care to extinguish cigarettes and dispose of them in the outside rubbish container.
The Overberg is an area of vast farms with mainly sheep and crops such as wheat, canola, oats and barley giving the traveller a tapestry of different landscapes depending on the season.
Birdlife and nature abound, the stars are so bright and close on a clear night as there is so little light or pollution.

Directions
Take the N2 from Cape Town through Somerset West to Caledon. Drive through Caledon following Bredasdorp and Napier signs. (55kms from Caledon to Napier). When you get to Napier, drive through the village towards Bredasdorp – NB: 60km speed limit – passing the large Dutch Reform Church on your right and continue past the Napier Farm Stall on right, taking the second road to the right after the NFS. Drive to the top of Rooi Laan (name on kerb) and turn left into Jubileum Street, no sign! The third cottage on your left is Birdsong, No.33, Jubileum Street, next door to Twin Oaks, a small old cottage with two oak trees outside.
