Upington is strategically situated for visits to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and the Augrabies Falls National Park. Close to home you will also find the Spitskop Nature Reserve, providing sanctuary to herds of Gemsbok, Zebra, Springbok, Ostrich, Eland, Camel and Wildebeest - a perfect place for a day's outing, picnicking, game drives or even doing the hiking trails in the Reserve. The Augrabies National Park also offers a variety of wildlife to see, as well as a variety of hiking trails, night game drives, Black Rhino, canoeing, mountain biking and river rafting
on the Orange River, below the awesome Augrabies Falls itself. This is also a land of contrasts, with various scenic attractions and 4x4 trails for the four-wheel drive enthusiast.

Directions
From Johannesburg / Olifantshoek:
Drive straight into Upington (N14), past the POLICE STATION and under the train bridge. After the train bridge, count seven houses (on the left hand side of the road). Bain's House is a big white house with black iron gates.
From Kimberley / Groblershoop:
As you cross the bridge and enter Upington (N10), you will see Auto Luxus (BMW Dealer) on you right hand side. Turn right into Schroder Street. Drive straight down, past Protea Hotels and Woolworths. Further down the road you will pass ZELCO MOTORS (Mercedes Benz dealer) on the left hand side. After that, on the right hand side there is a big block of flats called LENTE HOF. Bain's House is the second house after that.
From Cape Town / Keimoes:
You enter Upington on LE ROUX STREET (N14), at the first stop street turn right and drive up to the next stop. There you turn left and follow the directions for coming in from Kimberley / Groblershoop.
From Namibia:
Enter Upington on the R360 (Swartmodder Rd). Drive until you get to a traffic light, with BIMBO'S on you left hand side. Turn right (Le Roux Street) and go over the bridge to the next traffic light with Pick 'n Pay on your right. Turn left (into Rivier Street) and cross a stop street and a traffic light. At the second traffic light turn left into Schroder Street. You will see ZELCO MOTORS (Mercedes Benz dealer) on your left. After that, on the right hand side, there is a big block of flats on the right. Bain's House is the second house after that.
From Airport:
Drive straight from the airport to Upington. Cross straight over the first stop street and drive down Borcherd Street. You will get to a traffic circle, there you pass two street going out of the circle on the third (Le Roux Street). Ahead of you is a traffic light, with BIMBO'S on your right hand side. Cross straight over that traffic light and follow the directions for Namibia (from Pick 'n Pay).
