Description
Thandekayo Art Gallery Guest House is situated in the quaint seaside village of Hout Bay,
on the Atlantic seaboard of the Western Cape of South Africa. The Republic of Hout Bay,
as its residents affectionately refer it to, is a scenic twenty-minute drive from Cape Town.
The guest house is located at the start of the garden route on the foothills of the amphitheatre that guard the town in secure and scenic surrounds. From the balcony of
Thandekayo one enjoys the breathtaking view of both bay and mountains in this beautifully
scenic area of Southern Africa.
Thandekayo meaning “warm welcome” in Zulu offers 4 star luxury accommodation with five stylish African theme rooms, all en-suite. The guest house offering bed and breakfast, is owned by Anita and Martin Osner. Martin is one of South Africa 's top fine art photographic
artists and the guesthouse displays exhibitions of his works as well as of other contemporary
South African artists including renowned landscape photographer and close friend Koos van der Lende.
Hout Bay is one of South Africa’s most popular holiday destinations. Not only does it offer vistas of mountains overlooking a tranquil indigo bay, it is also a vibrant colourful seaside village representing the diversity of South Africa 's Rainbow Nation. In Hout Bay you can expect to; enjoy great cuisine, visit the bustling fishing harbour, go on a guided tour of the
local indigenous community, take long walks along the beach, visit the art galleries in town, go horseback riding, take a drive along Chapman's Peak which boasts to be one of the most scenic routes in the world, visit nearby wine estates or frequent the infamous Cape Town
Waterfront, book on a sailing charter, or just soak up the sun relaxing at the side of the pool.
You are invited to enjoy a unique stay where African hospitality, art, wine and relaxation are the order of the day, in a seaside village that boasts immense beauty and character. The one thing we can promise you about staying at Thandekayo Art Gallery Guest House is that
it will not be your last visit.

past Cecelia Forest until you get to the traffic circle at Constantia Nek. Go around the circle
(avoid the first exit), and drive down Hout Bay Main Road towards Hout Bay. To get to Thandekayo Guest House, follow Hout Bay Main Road until you approach another traffic
