Wildekrans Country House is a historic 1811 homestead situated in the village of Houw Hoek in the Western Cape. Overlooking a rambling garden that cascades to the river, and silhouetted by a rugged mountain backdrop, the house is furnished with antiques and contemporary South African art.
Accommodation with breakfast and dinner is available as is a self-catering option. For those traveling on business, all rooms have MNet and WiFi. The homestead has three double rooms including a suite. A separate cottage alongside the homestead is perfect for families or travelers wanting kitchen facilities.
The gardens are perfect for mellow summer weddings.
Quirky, burnished by the years, Wildekrans Country House offers a relaxing interlude away from the hurly burly of city life.
Just one hour from Cape Town it is an ideal weekend getaway, or extension to a Mother City visit.
