Fishing:
MEMORIES RELIVED AT MAPELANE — 2009 Billfish Invitational By Erwin Bursik

MAPELANE is often considered the undiscovered jewel of KwaZulu-Natal’s North Coast. Well, perhaps it’s not that undiscovered, since ski-boaters have been fishing there since the early days of the sport, but as a venue it has often had to stand in line behind the Sodwanas, Cape Vidals and even Richards Bays of this world. However, what cannot be doubted is that, in fishing terms, Mapelane is indeed a jewel.
