Overview

Gordon's Bay Guesthouse is set against the backdrop of the magnificent Hottentot Holland Mountains with the most beautiful views across False Bay towards Table Mountain/ Cape Point, just a 600 Meter away from all amenities around the beaches and village center and on an evening (particularly from our upper balconies) our guests can observe and enjoy almost every day the most spectacular sunsets . A family owned guesthouse where our guests can enjoy a tranquil setting. They can soak up the sun around our swimming pool or relax in the thatched Jacuzzi house and enjoy a braai underneath the lappa with a drink on hand! All rooms are air-conditioned with en-suite bathroom/shower rooms and have either a balcony or decking area. Each has their own private entrance.

Our rooms are tastefully decorated and have either a queensize bed or twin beds and are equipped with safe, hairdryer, fridge, tv and tea/coffee facilities. Our breakfast, buffet-style, international standard, is served in the breakfast restaurant or should they wish guests may celebrate their breakfast/diners on the adjacent balconies, depending on the weather. Our guests are offered a warm welcome and as stated by many "arrive as clients and leave as friends".
Directions
Gordons Bay Guest House is only approximately 25 minutes away from the Cape Town International Airport.

From the Airport, take the N2 towards Somerset West. Shortly before the sign for Sir Lowry’s Pass turn right at the Robots signposted (R44) Gordons Bay/Kleinmond. Continue on this road for approximately 4km and shortly before the crossroads (R44) turn left into Boundary Road. On the right hand side is the traffic department, carry up the hill for about 200-300metres and the Guest House will be on the left hand side on the corner of Dromedaris and Boundary Road. YOU CAN’T MISS IT.

Attractions
One of the most famous excursions in the province is Cape Point Nature Reserve a scenic hours drive away. This area is part of Table Mountain National Park.

The unmistakable site of Table Mountain entices visitors with its gentle or challenging, mountain walks - for the more restful or discerning visitor, the awesome cable car ride awaits.

The Naval port of Simons Town situated around hour away from Gordons Bay is a quaint coastal town famous for its colonial Cape Dutch architecture as well as being home to Boulders Beach and the Jackass penguins which can also be viewed at Stoney Point around “Betty’s Bay”.

The botanical gardens in Kirstenbosch, around 25 minutes away, is home to an excess of 13,000 varying types of fynbos and plays host to a number of concerts in the Summer.

The Southern Right, Brede and Minke Whales can be seen along the coast road (Clarence Drive) en route to Hermanus during the months August – November.

Located behind Gordons Bay Guesthouse in the “Hottentot Holland” mountains is a national park and Steenbras Dam offering breathtaking views across False Bay and beyond. There is a plethora of flora, fauna and wildlife in the area.

Gordons Bay has a unique feature in that it possesses both an old and a new harbour with a yacht-club and numerous restaurants & pubs.

Numerous water sport activities are also available including deep sea fishing, shark cage diving, sailing, canoeing etc or one can take just a gentle sunset cruise.

Without question, one of the World’s most unforgettable and breathtaking drives is right here in Gordons Bay along Clarence Drive, the start of the Garden Route. The winding, rocky coastal road from Gordons Bay to Hermanus is a must! En route, you can stop off at nearby Stoney Point and witness the hundreds of breeding Jackass penguins and rock dassies.
